These monuments impress with their immense size and remarkable architecture. 　　How and why were they built, what makes them significant, and how have they survived the centuries ? Beyond the superficial appearance, what are the mysteries that surround them ? In aerial and satellite images, using Lidar to reveal the terrain on which they are built, we explore each structure, before moving in closer to film on a microscopic scale, to understand the materials used and the challenges of soil, ageing, and preservation. 　　Season 3: 　　1.
